Since 2007, Lucy has pursued a career as a Piano Teacher and freelance Pianist in Surrey and Sussex. As well as her private teaching practice, she currently teaches piano at Rydes Hill Preparatory School and Christ’s College Secondary School in Guildford, and has worked for the University of Sussex in Brighton accompanying final year performance students. She also works at the Arden Holford School of Ballet in Guildford and at Rox School Of Dance And Drama in Hove as an accompanist for RAD exams and classes. Further to this, she often plays at weddings, funerals and other such events.

In 2011, she worked with the BBC teaching actress Izzy Meikle-Small to play piano for a role in the acclaimed adaptation of “Great Expectations”. In 2012, she passed her Diploma in Piano Performance (DipABRSM) studying with Professor Robert Orledge. In 2014, she studied with Professor Clive Williamson for a MMus in piano performance at the University of Surrey. More recently, Lucy achieved the Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music (LRSM) in 2019.

Lucy is passionate about the piano and likes to encourage pupils to enjoy the music they are playing and feel confident in their ability before embarking on graded examinations. She has experience teaching a wide range of abilities and has accompanied graded exams, diplomas and recitals for various instrumentalists. Lucy is fully CRB checked.
